Alaska politicians have just a two word vocabulary it seems; “oil, gas!”. So Gov. Walker goes with Pres. Trump to China to plea with the Communist Chinese Government to put a vast pipeline into his gas field so the state can get royalties. No matter that the Chinese already have the Russians building a vast pipeline to suply the Chinese with gas. The world is awash in fossil fuels and the state of Alaska government envisions more and more use. Even Lisa Murkowski envisions a billion dollar jackpot for ANWR. Never a clue about anything modern like fuel cells, solar, wind and geothermal.
Maybe the Governor will ask for free Chinese Army guards to defend the pipeline. Some day that may happen. A principle of economics is that culture comes along with investment. Democrats might not mind socialist people’s party supervision. Maybe the Chinese can supply school teachers, librarians and cheaper government workers too. They are said to be hard workers. Nothing like a do-it-yourself attitude.
