Newton, Einstein and Tycho Brahe’s minds weren’t on vacation. Neither were those of Socrates and the prophet Jeremiah. They studied reality. Reality is unavoidable except perhaps for some dopers and cognitively challenged people. I think even egoists can study it meaningfully. Reality might be compared to water for a fish; one is immersed in it.
