I won a blitz game with 93% accuracy against another lower rated opponent who had a remarkable 78% accuracy for his rating. I had an equally low rating caused perhaps by the very, very slow internet connection making a huge difference in 3 minute games. Even so the accuracy rating was about my highest ever.

What happened was this. Isolated from phone service at a rural shed last night and this morning I hadn’t much to watch besides chess video. So I watched a good Jobava London how-to video and another with a Queen’s pawn opening and then walked several miles into town with a 35 pound pack.

Being too tired to do much more than watch a video on today’s SuperUnited Rapid and Blitz Croatia on the 2025 Grand Chess Tour, I saw Magnus Carlsen win a game playing the Jobava London and the great game between Pragnanandha vs World Champ at Classical Chess Gukesh. After that I played a blitz game with 93% accuracy using the Jobava London.

Good enough game prep to win. My opponent resigned after his blunder lost a rook.
