I don’t blame the Russians for wanting reliable power for the cold Arctic shore. A floating nuclear power plant is a strategic terrorist target though for a rogue torpedo or suicide drone attack. Chernobylo upwind of Alaska isn’t good. Democrat policies that force Russians to go alone and be regarded as a frenemie at best preclude peaceful Russian-American Arctic conservative development in sustainable ecospheric economic parameters.. Another step toward poisoning the Arctic too.
A better alternative might have been for Russian and American scientists and engineers to research and build a Finland to Chicago super-conductor cable cooled in liquid hydrogen that is also used to power a Musk hyper-tube transport system. It would be useful to keep nuclear out of the Arctic for long-range human survival.
